The wealth of data in today’s world promises to revolutionize what’s possible, allowing us to ask exciting new questions and changing the very nature of research. If you too are of this belief, please take a moment to have a look at my candidacy. I am a 3rd year computer science and engineering Undergraduate student at VIT University. After taking time to research your organization, I am intrigued by your work in the field of data analysis. I am very much interested in summer internship program at your esteemed company and I am sure that my skills, passion and enthusiasm, would make me a great candidate for the same. My education has prepared me to be successful in your summer internship program. My varied coursework consisting of machine learning,Pattern classification ,Agent based intelligent Systems and data mining has expanded my knowledge and enriched my skill sets in analysing big data and extracting meaningful information out of it. My work on various Kaggle Problems like 'titanic problem, Allstate Purchase Prediction Challenge,etc' would be a suitable vouch for my capabilities and understanding of the field. Through these problem solving I have gained valuable project experience from capturing and analysing data to extracting and understanding relevant information. I feel I can make a difference while working as a summer intern at your organiztion for a period of 2 months(Jun-July,2015). I have attended multiple hands-on workshops on Machine learning and natural language processing, Which have severely influenced my desire to work towards the same and at the same time enhanced and shaped my analytical skills. In addition to my academic work, I have also had a rigorous learning experience in form of my previous internship at Society for Electronic Transaction and Security(SETS), a government organization on information security,as well as at Baddi Institute of Technology(BIT) on web development, it taught me the importance of working together as a unit to achieve a common goal.I have also done a few certified courses from Coursera.org on Machine Learning by Andrew NG(Stanford University) with certification as well as a significant part of data specialization course(without certificate). I am confident I will be a valuable intern, bringing a unique combination of skills, personal experiences and passionate dedication.
