Global Audit Departmental Overview
Global Audit is an independent and objective assurance and business advisory organization designed to provide assurance to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, add value to senior management and improve EA’s operations. It helps EA to accomplish its business objectives by bringing a top down, risk based approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, internal control, and governance processes.
The Global Audit organization reports directly into the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
Main Purpose of the Role
The IT Auditor will be part of a dynamic team that runs the EA SOX compliance program. The role will require the auditor to perform systems audit activities (i.e. walkthroughs/testing/documentation) for IT General Controls, Application Controls and/or SSAE16 reports, etc. While this role will be focused primarily on SOX audit efforts, he/she will have the opportunity to diversify their audit portfolio through participation in various other types of audits. IT security audits, operational audits of legal entities and/or game development studios based locally or globally, and other strategic audits are some of the ways we keep things challenging and interesting. The IT Auditor will work closely with a fun and smart group of experienced IT and business process auditors and will be reporting to the IT Audit Sr. Manager of our Global Audit department.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct systems audits and support IT SOX compliance efforts;
- Support in maintaining an inventory of key applications and systems in-scope for SOX;
- Assist in IT security, operational and other special request audits as needed;
- Evaluate the effectiveness of IT control and governance processes as well as the reliability of reporting information and ensuring that policies and standards are observed within EA;
- Recognize different cultures and practices in various locations and partner with the process owners to recommend optimal solutions to strengthen controls and increase efficiency;
- Maintain and improve technical abilities and remain up-to-date on subject matters pertinent to the auditor’s role and/or EA’s business and technology through:
- Relevant trainings and working towards respective certifications (e.g. CISA, etc.);
- SOX compliance, IT audit and information systems updates and best practices;
- Latest gaming industry, e-commerce, and overall company news.
Skills and Knowledge Required
- Familiar with SOX compliance and IT SOX testing methodology;
- Good business acumen and understanding of functional linkages. Ability to interact and/or manage cross-functional teams (IT/Finance/Operations) to support IT audit efforts;
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills in English, excellent soft-skills, and ability to motivate and influence all levels of management;
- Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio);
- Proficient in another language other than English is a plus;
- Background in a digital business or similar industry is a plus;
- ACA, ACCA, CPA, MBA or equivalent is a plus.
Experience Required
- 1+ years of experience with the Big 4 a plus but not necessary. New grads are encouraged to apply;
- Familiar with ERP systems (preferably Oracle R12) and other financial/operational systems;
- Experience interacting with senior management
