| Solidus is searching for a Web Front-end Software Engineer. This position requires an enthusiastic front-end software engineer to develop complex user interfaces and visualization using the web technologies. Responsibilities include creating single page web application features based upon design mockups using modern HTML, JavaScript, and CSS techniques. This position will require collaboration with a team of application developers as part of a larger project. The emphasis will be on building user interfaces and interaction features needed for a novel user-driven visual analytic composition tool. Ideal candidates will have a reasonable understanding of visual analytics, data transformation, and data visualization as well as inherent user limitations in performing the tasks. Ideal candidates will be an expert in modern web technologies and a creative thinker who can make technology suggestions to the project leader, and be able to collaborate and follow the goals set by the team. Must have decent software engineering experience and not just coding experience. |

Requirements: - US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance - MS in computer science or related field - BS in the field with extensive experience will also be considered - Direct experience with user interface development for the web - Good software engineering experience in Javascript, JAVA, HTML, and CSS is required Experience with AngularJS, Node.js/Grunt, REST-ful web service architecture, and web security is a plus. Key technologies candidates should understand are: - JavaScript (including various architectural and testing frameworks) - REST-ful web service design, WebSockets, Web Worker and the HTML5 and CSS, GWT - Experience with backend systems and databases is a plus - Demonstrated examples of prior web development work and understanding of end users is a plus Applicants selected must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
